While Mixed Martial Arts is finally getting it's due after more than a decade, it's not hard to see that some of these fighters want to use their newfound celebrity to branch off into other venues like movies (Randy Couture in Scorpion King 2, anyone?)

But one guy who seems to be in the sport strictly for the money is Kimbo Slice, the big bad street fighter from Florida who uploaded his street fights onto Youtube. He only recently started fighting in EliteXC, and would eventually like to fight in the UFC, the best MMA organization in the U.S.


But there's a difference between street fighting and mixed martial arts, and Kimbo, who has a big mouth besides his big beard, learned the hard way last night. He was supposed to fight Ken Shamrock, a 44-year-old MMA retired champ who wanted to put Kimbo down for all the shit he's been talking. But due to an eye laceration he was forced to sit out.
At the last minute the organization chose Seth Petrazelli, who is a UFC nobody (no offense Seth, but you know it's true), and Kimbo, who's known for taking a fight "anywhere, anytime" took it.

Well, it looks like we won't be seeing Kimbo Slice in Scorpion King 3 anytime soon, because the amateur fighter got knocked the fuck out by the Pink frosty haired Petrazelli. Kimbo was once quoted saying, "I'll lose my mind before I lose a fight." I think he lost both by taking on a fighter he knew nothing about (and who isn't all that good to begin with). Rest in peace, Kimbo. Youtube still loves you, though. Don't ya think it's time to shave that beard? I'll buy you a Bic razor. But not a Gillette, because that's only for Champions, like Tiger and Derek Jeter.
