Jon Lapaglia ~ BAD ACTING | MOVIES | BAD ACTORS - CELEBRITY OUTHOUSE

Jon Lapaglia

We all know Anthony Lapaglia, one of the Robert Deniro/Al Pacino clones...
Anthony Lapaglia Actor

but how about Jon Lapaglia?
Jon Lapaglia Actor

Jon happens to be Anthony's younger brother and they both share something in common besides for the same mother...both are bad actors! Anthony at least gets offered roles in known films but Jon is just miles below his brother. He is on X-Movie level, if there is such a thing, and has that Lapaglia face that is hysterical to watch.

Can J.L. stand the pressure of electric torture?

Maybe we can get Daniel Baldwin and Jon Lapaglia to star in a movie together, I can see the greatness now...imagine when UPN, Spike TV or USA decide to debut it...

On a side note for one of our Outhouse fans...John has been changed to Jon, thanks Anonymous - The Jon Lapaglia fan.

  1. First of all, it's Jonathan (not John), and although not a great actor, he isn't bad. How could you possible put his brother in that category? Anthony is a terrific actor and has won both TV and theater awards to prove it. Plus they're both good looking and sexy. Half Dutch and half Italian is a good mix.

  6. Anthony LaPaglia is one of the most underated actors in Hollywood. As stated above, he won a Tony for his performance in A View From The Bridge. FYI - a Tony is equivalent to an Oscar for theatre performances. He won a best actor award in Australia for his magnificant performance in the Australian film Lantana. He won an Emmy for his hilarious performance as Simon Moon in the Frasier tv series. He's won a Golden Globe, and nominated for an Emmy, for his performance in Without a Trace. While it's very difficult to pinpoint my favorite performance since he's excellent in pretty much any thing he does, the movie Lantana & his Frasier character are my favorites. Hopefully this will help get your head out of your ass.

  7. I'm curious, if you think Anthony LaPaglia is a "bad actor," what exactly is your criteria for a good actor? I won't go and list his numerous awards again, as someone has already thoughtfully provided that info, but what you might not have gleaned from that list is the sheer acting range that Anthony LaPaglia possesses. Many actors try to say that they can do comedy as well as drama, but few can convincingly make the transition. Even fewer can claim to be just as good at live stage performances, which is an entirely different animal altogether. Anthony LaPaglia can do all that and do it well judging by the amount of critical acclaim he receives and the aforementioned awards. His ability to completely "become" his character is so amazing that you sometimes don't even recognize him at all. THAT is the hallmark of a true actor. Anthony LaPaglia can say more with just his eyes than most of those "pretty boy actors" can say with an entire page of script. If you are truly serious about seeing what a great actor he can be, please watch the movie "The Guys." Anthony LaPaglia is captivating as an FDNY Captain who lost 8 men on 9/11 and enlists the help of a journalist (Sigourney Weaver)to write the eulogies for their funerals. this film could have easily been shmaltzy and overdone in the hands of lesser performers, but LaPaglia and Weaver make "The Guys" into a magnificent portrait of the different stages and levels of grief. As they struggle to find the words to transform the men that were lost from faceless heroes to recognizable individuals, LaPaglia and Weaver manage to bring the enormity of the events of 9/11 back down to the personal level. The highlight of the film is the final scene wherein Anthony LaPaglia delivers one of the fictional eulogies. The extras used to fill the church were actually real famliy members of firefighters killed on 9/11. Facing those people and making the performance truthful for them must have been extremely difficult, but he pulled it off. If you can watch "The Guys" and still think that Anthony LaPaglia is a bad actor, then I don't know what else to tell you. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

  10. Anthony LaPaglia is a fine actor, and very nice to look at too! It's sad you're apparently unable to see what a "real" actor looks like!

  11. I've seen Jonathan in a few things and I've never had a problem with him -hell knows there are worse actors out there, so I wouldn't lump him in with that crowd. I do however totally prefer Anthony and agree with what the other posters have said before me.
