Meet Josh Lucas. Ever heard of him? No, but I bet you remember him from somewhere. Hollywood is always looking for the next "IT" boy; looking to cram him down our throats. According to IMDB , Lucas has made 47 movies. One of his first big roles was in 1996's "THINNER", where he played "Male Nurse." And then a whole bunch of other movies from then on that I really don't want to name because I haven't seen them.

Usually, a starving actor boosts his resume when he acts in a big movie alongside an A-list star. Then he may have an easier chance of landing auditions with casting directors ("Hey, I was in American Psycho!") Which he was, and after he continued being the good little character actor landing small parts in "A Beautiful Mind" and "Sweet Home Alabama."

But then in 2003 he did the predictable. Like most actors, Josh Lucas needs to pay the bills. And he had his chance to work with Ang Lee on a big summer action movie, "HULK" as the over-the-top 'Talbot.' He continued to do the little films a.k.a. whatever is offered to him, until 2005, when we got Josh Lucas in another big summer blockbuster (or at least that's what his agent told him) "STEALTH."

Lucas should've jumped ship when he was told it was from the director of "XXX" and "The Fast and the Furious." But it was a summer movie, and Josh Lucas gotta eat.
The movie tanked. But it wasn't the last we saw of Lucas. Jerry "The Devil" Bruckheimer gave us "Glory Road," another movie that didn't do well at the box office most likely because there wasn't a movie star in the role, unless you count Josh Lucas. He then headlined Summer 2006's remake of "Poseidon", which also tanked.

So who is Josh Lucas? And who did he sleep with to climb up the A-list ladder? His next few movies I don't think he headlines which can only mean one thing: Josh knows he's not a movie star. But how did he, above all other C-list actors, get to the top? Do you know how lucky you have to be to star in a fucking movie that isn't a Steven Seagal/Wesley Snipes/Van Damme direct-to-dvd? It's like Mario Lopez all of a sudden co-starring in "The Dark Knight" or "Iron Man."
